Abstract | ||
The narrative compositions of poetry in their imagistic and harmonic forms and their stylistic techniques have principal constituents, from which the poem acquire its own atmosphere of being variously, actively and in different degrees concordant with the action, character, plot, time and place. This atmosphere interacts with the meanings and the connotations of the poem showing how much the meaning of the poem is suited with the narrative. This atmosphere of the poem needs the poet's skill in condensation and activity. It also needs that the center of the poem should shed light on its ends. We can summarize the main points that are studied in the theoretical frame of the constituents of narrative and their activity as follows: 1. The emotional incarnation of the action as a narrative constituent in the narrative poem results into actions that are not forgetful of the role of the text in forming the action. It might be embodied into a mask or a semi-dramatic joining. 2. When the poem make use of the narrative potentials, it becomes necessary that the meaning should be reached at through an organic and objective unity concentrating on reasons, results, gradation in particulars, and on succession in design, logic and structure, thus it grants the text a stylistically appropriate form, which responds to the beauties of the text. 3. The narrative poem should pay attention to the character and its psychological inclinations, which will serve the text in evoking the activity, and the behavior of the character toward its consciousness and nature. | ||
