Abstract | ||
1050 samples of cereal (wheat and rice) from different origins of the world were taken from the berthing ships in Umm Qasser port , during First of January 2009 up to October 17 th,2009. Several tests were done to detect the prevalence of fungi ant its Aflatoxin B1 producing during the period of storing in different conditions till 180 days. The results showed that 19 species of fungi were isolated from samples , and they were the producers of Aflatoxin B1 from Aspergillus flavus and Aspergillus parasiticus. The results of detection reveal the presence of Aflatoxin B1 ratios by using (Kit) and HPLC,with a low different concentrations of 1ppb are (20, 33.3 and 50)% for Canadian Russian and Romanian wheat respectively, and the absence of Australian wheat meanwhile the presence ratio of aflatoxin B1with concentrations 5ppb is 50% of the Romanian wheat at the end of storage in the laboratory, the ratio of wheat samples that containing concentration of 5ppb increased to (3.3 and 56.6)% which is stored in silos for each Russian and Romanian wheat respectively .While the imported rice samples in these study free from Aflatoxin B1. | ||
