Abstract | ||
This investigation was conducted the ability of aquatic higher plant Hydrill vreticillata and green algae Scendesmus dimorphus for accumulation of heavy metals (Pb , Cu , and Zn) , and thus minimize the aquatic environment , which is possible to transported via food chains and could be reach to human body . This study have been exposed of both higher plant and algae to different concentration of heavy metals(15, 20, 25 and 30) mg / L for a periods for five weeks in lab . conditions , and then calculated the effect of those heavy elements Included the current study tested the ability of plant water and algae on the accumulation of heavy elements within Khalaaihama and thus to minimize the adverse effects of this type of pollutants in the aquatic environment, which is one of the most important ecosystems in the pyramid, environmental, and which includes the neighborhoods of the task in addition to its importance to the human race as the main source for it. He used plant (Hydrill vreticillata) and algae green (Scendesmus dimorphus) having been expose them to concentrations (15, 20, 25 and 30) mg / L for a period of five weeks, laboratory, and then calculated the proportion of accumulation of these elements add to the test the impact of those elements on growth as effect on chlorophyll content and biomass . The results were should that the higher plant H . verticillata way more efficient of absorption of those heavy metals and with draw in it , tissue , which reach about 95 . 4 , 121 . 3 and 170.1 microgram / L for Pb , Cu and Zn spectively , comparing with algae were 50.1 , 91.1 and 0.36 micro9grams respectively . | ||
