Abstract | ||
Laboratory experiment studies were conducted to compare the hydrolysis and ammonia volatilization for four nitrogen fertilizers containing urea ( Urea; Sulpher coated urea ; Urea phosphate and Polymer coated Urea ) applied to two different textured soils. Inorganic released nitrogen ( NO3- + NH4+ ) after 40 days incubation at 25 and 35 C were calculated. Ammonia volatilization was calculated daily for 40 days after incubation at 35 C. Results indicate that urea fertilizer treatment released the highest amount of inorganic _ N and NH3_ volatilization in the both studied soils and two temperatures. While the polymer coated urea gave the least significant inorganic_N and NH3_ volatilization as compared with other treatments. In addition, the temperature 35 C reduced ammonium _ release from all the studied fertilizers as compared with 25 C. | ||
