Abstract | ||
This research was conducted to determine the effect of adding dietary thyme (Thymus vulgaris) leaves powder to the ration on caracas quality characteristics of broiler, where it was breeding 300 birds day-old and were distributed randomly on four treatments : (0.0, 0.6,0.8 and 1.2, %) from the leaves of thyme, each treatment included three replicates (25 chicks per pine). Feeding trial started at one day old to 56 day . The Results indicated were significantly (p < 0.01) in carcasses weight treatment 3 and 4 had the highest carcasses weight compared with the treatment of 1 and 2, to record the treatment 1 lower rate to the weight of carcass. Dressing percentages with or without giblets increased significantly( p < 0.05 ) as the percentage of adding thyme increased ground to record the treatment 4 highest dressing percentages with or without giblets compared to the rest of the treatments . heart and gizzard percentages increased significantly( p < 0.05 ) as the adding percentages rates of adding thyme , which record a treatment 4 highest percentage of weight of the heart and gizzard and here were no significant differences in liver weight between the treatments of the experiment also recorded the treatment 3 and 4 highest percentage of weight of Breast , thighs , wings and Back, as well as the highest percentage of Drumstics and the highest percentage of weight of the neck of recorded treatment I (control), derived from this research that the addition of thyme (Thymus vulgaris) leaves powder of broiler to the ration had a positive impact in improving caracas quality characteristics of broiler | ||
