Abstract | ||
In this study we examined 21 samples of hedgehogs Hemiechinus auritus we found all of hedgehogs(100%) are infected with one or more of helminthes. The study appeared that hedgehogs Hemiechinus auritus are infected with six types of helminthes these are: Mathevotaenia erinacei, Monilliforms monilliforms Pterygodermatites, plagiostoma, Capillaria erinacei, physaloptera. Sp . and Crenosoma striatum with rate infections are : % respectively; 76. 4 %; 4.76%; 4.76 %; 33.33; %19.04%; 57.14 Higher infestation were with M. erinacei57.14) %) and lower with C. erinacei , Crenosoma striatum and Physaloptera sp. (4.76% for all ). The species Crenosoma striatum and Capillaria. erinacei were recorded for the first time in long eared hedgehog as intermediate and final host in Iraq . | ||
