Two location of East Tigris river in the Al-Hayiza marsh wich it called Al-Amarah Marshes, the first located is Umm Al-Naaj area at the depth 1m ,While the other in Umm Saaha at the depth 0.5m ,in addition that 14 surface sample from recent sediment are distributed in equal in each area .During the studying 4 super family from Ostracoda group are (Cytheracea,Cypridacea, Bairdiacea,Cytheroidea). Texture sediments was distributed between silt, clay and sand ,the main part of sediment is silt .Statistical parameters of these sediment (Mean size ,Skewnees and Kurtosis) were calculated. The percentage of total organic carbon (TOC%) was measured ,and it was ranged between 0.5-0.7in Umm Saaha.Where as in Umm Al-Naaj area was range 0.5-1 . The high value of TOC% was observed Umm Al-Naaj area .Showed the recent studying that the type of environment for the study area depending on the group of Ostracoda is (Brackish-Shallow Water Deposits) | ||
