Summary The study was conducted in Abu-Ghraib Experimental Station, State Board for Agricultural Research during 2006 – 2007 to evaluate the effect of rate and time of application of Triasulfuron ( Logran) on weed accompanied Wheat crop compared to other herbicides . Also, to study the effect of herbicides residue on subsequent crops. Results indicated that herbicides significantly reduced species of monocotyledon and dicotyledonous weed. Topik herbicide showed effective activity in controlling monocotyledons when was applied after Logran herbicide (preemergence) which showed good activity against monocotyledons. As a result of high activity of herbicides, dry weight of weeds were reduced compared to check treatment (weedy). Yield of grain was increased due to reduce weed competition. No symptoms of adverse effect (number of plants, stunting or dwarfism) appeared on subsequent crops which were planted after Wheat. | ||
