Abstract | ||
ABSTRACT : The lowland of the El - Qadiriya in Babil Governorate, an important water sites for the presence of many kinds of wild birds, especially migratory ones. Three field visits was conducted at different times; to determine the species of birds that exist in this location, as well as to study the biological and tourism significance. 34 species of wild birds identified that visit this place, were classified according to their presence in Iraq in terms of being; resident or visitor, according to international classifications. Some species identified as endangered species and to be protected globally. A very few are updated informations about the reality of changes in the birds species in Iraq, while there is no information about the species of birds located in the Governorate of Babylon. The total birds seen and diagnosed during the three visits is 423 birds, note that the actual number is greater than this. So this research is, the nucleus or provided for environmental scanning to the Gov. of Babylon. Proposed study, the declaration of the lowland of the El - Qaririya as the site for birdwatching, and economic investment.
