Abstract : In this study, the concentration of most hormones which exist in different size of ovarian follicles was measured. The study was conducted to understand the hormonal needs for ovarian follicles growth of Iraqi cows and buffaloes by measuring the levels of some hormones like testosterone, progesterone, estrogen and thyroid stimulation hormone (TSH). 22 sample of cows and 16 of buffalos were used in the present work such that all the samples are adult, fitness and non- pregnant females. The work continued for two months (July and August of 2010). The follicle fluid was extracted from different size ovarian follicles after measuring its size and the hormones concentrations. Depending on the ovarian follicles sizes, It are divided into three groups, small size (2-5) mm, medium (5-9) mm and large size (9-14) mm. The results revealed that there is no significant in the progesterone level between the same ovarian follicles sizes of cows and buffaloes but there is a significant under probability level p>0.05 of the different sizes of the same kind (cows or buffaloes) also there is significant differenes in interference. There is no significant differenes in the estrogen level between the same ovarian follicles sizes of cows and buffalo and between the different size of the same kind but there is significant under probability level p>0.05 in interference. There are no significant in testosterone and TSH. | ||
