Abstract | ||
Multiple and diverse historical resources dealt with the history of The Saljuks in Mosul (489-521 A.H) ,presenting various information that depend on topics which those resources concentrated on , they could be classified into both( the general histories ,"annals") ,and (the history of cities and families ruled cities when they were under the control of The Saljuks). It is likely to say that most of those resources concentrated on the history of the main Saljuks in particular .Ibn Ibn-al–Athir's work differs from any other historical resources that studies the Saljuks era either in Iraq or in Persia. Moreover, it reveals valuable information about the Saljuks in those areas ,as well as information which is related to the rulers of Mosul in the Saljuk era which has never been mentioned by many historical resources Although Ibn-al–Athir's book AL kamil is considered to be one of general histories book, it gives detailed, information about the rulers of Mosul during the Saljuk Finally, the study also investigates historical backgrounds. and their political struggles with other adjacent forces is also what such study aims to deal with. | ||
