Abstract : The research aimed to determining the level of perception of Agricultural Extension workers in Kirkuk Governorate for some of extension work obstacles related to vocational development, and to identify some personal characteristics and training of the respondents and their relationship to the level of their awareness. The questionnaire was designed especially as a means to collect research data was checked for validity and reliability as stability coefficient (0.96) the research involved all extension workers in the Directorate of Agriculture in Kirkuk and its agricultural branches, amounting in number (40) respondents. It has been used frequencies, percentages, averages and simple correlation coefficient (person) in the analysis of research data. the most important research results summarized that the vast majority of the respondents about (95%) of them are high and moderate aware and understand for the constrained extension work relating to the vocational preparation , with respect to the personal characteristics of respondents shows that (42.5%) of respondents were older and the vast majority of them males, where total percentage (82.5%), and (70%) of them hold bachelor degrees in agriculture and (80%) non-specialists in Agricultural Extension and (40%) are new in extension work, and (37.5%) were performing administrative work, and more than two thirds of respondents participated in a few of training course in the field of agricultural extension, the results also shows that there are relations of correlation was found between the level of awareness of respondents and some personal characteristics such as (age, sex, educational level and nature of the work), the constraints (lack of incentive to participate in training courses) and (lack of external training (outside of Iraq ) and (the majority of training courses is unrelated to agricultural extension) came in the first three orders respectively among other constraints | ||
