Abstract | ||
The research aimed at determing the contribution of agricultural staff in the extension services to the farmers in Babylon . planning ,implementation and evaluation of these activities introduced by those officers were investigated in this study . the research also explained the effect of other jobs (non –extenion duties) of the extension agents on their extension activities. A questionnaire was used for the purpose of collecting data. The population included all the agricultural officers involved in extension activities which were 12-10-2011 (165 ) officers. The study showed that (%79) of the agricultural staff involved in the agricultural extension activities , and (%76) of them had been affected by the non – extension duties comparing with ( %29) of extension agents who were also affected by the non-extenion duties . Also , ( % 29 ) of extension agents were affected by the non-extension duties .,( %64 )of the extension agents agreed about the support of their agricultural office .The researchers concluded that it is possible to improve the extension role of the agricultural taff by more support and training. The researchers recommended to support the agricultural extension activities and establishing a training program for the agricultural staff to strengthen their extension duties. | ||
