Abstract
Urban resilience for post-disaster reconstruction is one of the ways of adaptation that requires intervention to manage risks in the urban environment; It represents an important aspect in determining the weaknesses of the urban buildings that were exposed to the city of Sinjar after the disaster, which requires the reconstruction of the buildings in a way that contributes to strengthening the urban stability of the city, despite the great challenges faced by the city during the period from 2014-2019 represented in the destruction of buildings The urban damage scale showed that it varied from completely destroyed buildings to invisible damage, in addition to the destruction of infrastructure. The transformation from disaster to urban resilience requires the development of strategies for the reconstruction of buildings in line with the urban development required by the city in order to restore population stability.
