Abstract | ||
The research dealt with the study of language and style in the poetry of Abdul Rahman Al-Kettani (D. 1334 AH). The desire of the reader depends heavily on the beauty of the sentence structure. There are several definitions of language and style. The word is closely related to the meaning. Considering the poetry of Abdul Rahman Al- Kettani, we find it compatible with what is stipulated and emphasized by the critics with regard to the appropriateness of meaning with use of the words specific to each purpose as well as the suitable words and the fluent structures. The styles used by the poet are: negation, command, foregrounding and backgrounding, interrogation, vocative, condition, emphasis, wishing, and warning. | ||
