Abstract | ||
This study attempts to take a way to explore the color connotations from the psychological side in the Pendants Ode's of Zuhair ibn Abi Salma, as it dived into the bottom of meanings, inspecting what the color can suggest based on the apparent meaning, and then moving away from this meaning to what settled in the same poet of the significance of each color, and followed the colors mentioned in the commentary, whether those colors came at the level of verbal statement or at the level of color synonyms, and this was done by extrapolating the evidence in the commentary, and analyzing them . The color themes are concentrated in: (black color, red color, blue color). The point of this was to identify the effectiveness of color and its function in the poetic context, because it is the context that determines the connotation by its interaction with the general meaning of the house or the main idea of the subject, so it becomes clear in the study that color is not limited to being a visual phenomenon only, but it has crossed over to philosophical, aesthetic, taste, emotional and psychological subjective mental connotations, and it also has second connotations that may be similar to the fixed connotations or differ depending on the context . In this study, attention was focused on psychological significance. | ||
