| Due to the gap in meaning happened between the Qur’anic text and the translated text which created by most Orientalist translations of Holy Qur’an due to their dependence on the translator’s capabilities and the extent of his mastery of the Arabic language. In addition, the inability of the language to which he is transferring to cope with Arabic language or (the language of the Qur’an) as some linguists call it. Because the orientalists who lead this great work, do not take into account that this is the speech of God Almighty, and it is not possible to come up with the same, it is better to translate the general meaning, which is what is called a moral or interpretive translation. The research deals with how to translate “the word (Al Amr)" thing” which is a general term for verbs, sayings and adverbs, through the translations of Bin Shemesh and Robin. The research attempts to address the term in terms of the lexical meaning that it expresses, and the extent to which this meaning is embodied in some verses of the Holy Qur’an. The research will depend on the well-known interpretations to determine the reference of the word in the context, after relying on Arabic and Hebrew dictionaries to determine the lexical meaning. Comparison with Jewish religious texts, specifically (the Old Testament), is done because of the dependence of some Hebrew translations on the texts of the Old Testament in understanding the Qur’anic verses, which resulted in the literalness of the translation. The research adopted two translations of the meanings of the Holy Qur’an into the Hebrew language. The first is for “Aharon bin Shemesh” which was published in 1971, and the second is for the Israeli orientalist “Uri Rubin” published in 2005 and modified in 2015, whereas the research adopted the modified version. |
