Abstract | ||
This study aimed to reveal the attitudes of pre-service teachers about the importance of teaching arts based on the standards of the [NAEYC], as well as the obstacles that limit the quality of teaching. It also sought to reveal the statistically significant differences about the importance of teaching arts, which are attributed to the variable of the geographical area in which the university is located and the number of arts courses. To achieve the goals, a survey was built according to the NAEYC standards. A number of (446) students answered the survey. The results showed the students’ agreement degree was high about the importance of teaching arts, as well as there were number of obstacles.. The results also showed that there were statistically significant differences due to the variable of the geographical area and the number of arts courses. Therefore a number of proposals and recommendations were presented. | ||
