Abstract | ||
AbstractThis article falls within the framework of social linguistics. The main question in this article is about The status of the Kurdish language in the education system of the Kurdistan. Previous studies have attempted to find the answer. Then the theories related to the position of language are linguistically examined. In addition to obtaining the necessary samples, the teachers of the "Axtar", "Jmhury" and "Faxer" schools in Erbil were surveyed and the samples were collected. Subsequently, for the barrier collecting samples, the prepared table and the teachers' opinions were reviewed quantitatively, qualitatively and critically. It was important for this article to understand the ideas behind the Kurdish language's place in education, how these ideas came into being, how they were planned, how they were implemented, and what the result of this detailed program was on the Kurdish language. In summary, it was concluded that the Kurdish language in the Kurdistan Region (ninth grade) education is in a good position, but it is somewhat declining and the maintenance and development of the Kurdish language in education needs more attention.
