Abstract | ||
Civilized nations do not forget their scholars and thinkers because they have a great role in the nation’s present and future. Therefore, in our Islamic history there are many scholars, meaning important scientific figures who helped advance the advancement of Arabs and Muslims over other nations.Therefore, this study of these scientific figures acquired a special and important character in which he deals with introducing the historian and his method of writing and the resources from which he drew his information.Here, the study sheds light on the historian “Ibn Rafea al-Salamy” and his book “The History of Baghdad’s Scholars,” called “The Mukhtar Al-Mukhtar”, especially identifying the tails of Ibn al-Najjar’s history, introducing the book and its importance, name, nickname, title, upbringing, writings and death, as well as its method and resources. | ||
