Anbar University Journal of Languages & Literature
Arabs had suffered from confrontation of emigration; of which some are optional and other are forced. The causes of emigration were the colonial period and suppressive regimes or some economic reasons. Diaspora novel is based a group of aspects which all depend on the dualism of echo\ and the other. Technically, it is too early to judge the Diaspora novel. It is possible to say that what distinguishes it from Arabic novel in its content since it is almost structurally traditional. The research distinguishes three types of diaspora novel: the novel written in the west, the novel that takes Arab homeland as the place of events, and the novel that is written in a language other than Arabic.
