The university of Nizwa organizes the National Scientific Forum “the scientific research in light of Oman vision 2040”

On Wednesday 26th of May,2021 the university of Nizwa represented by the college of Art and science, organized the national scientific forum “the scientific research in the light of Oman vision 2040” in the aim of activating the roles of higher education institutions, the national system for scientific research, and to enhance creativity and innovation; to implement the goals of Oman vision 2040. 

The forum was under the auspices of Prof. Ahmed Khalfan Al-Rawahi, the chancellor of the University of Nizwa. The forum had a number of educational and academic participant from the University of Nizwa, Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Ministry of Education, Sultan Qaboos University, Sohar University, and Sharqia University. And the audience from various academic and scientific field.

The National Forum was chaired by Dr. Issa bin Suleiman Al-Amiri, Dean of the College of Sciences and Arts, started the forum with the verse of holy Quran read by Sultan Al-Hinai. Followed a speech emphasizing on the role of higher education institutions in implementing the Oman Vision 2040 through scientific research, and highlighting the university five years plan which emphasizes on the importance of scientific researches to implement Oman vision 2040 by the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Khalifa Ahmed Al-Qassabi, Head of the Department of Education and Humanities. The forum included (9) working papers, divided into three specialized scientific sessions.

The forum concluded by honoring the organizing committee, the official speakers, and the participants with the working papers, followed by a word of praise and thanks from Professor Dr. Issa bin Suleiman Al-Amiri, Dean of the College of Science and Arts, expressing in it the importance of holding such scientific forums, and affirming that the recommendations of this forum find echo and interest by the specialists.
