The University of Nizwa achieves the first-place award in the field of exchanging training offers

The Deanship of student affairs and social services at the University of Nizwa participated in the twenty-sixth forum for the exchange of training offers between Arab universities, hosted by Tanta University, the Arab Republic of Egypt, during the period 4 to 7 April 2021. 

The opening ceremony was sponsored by His Excellency Dr Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Arab Republic of Egypt, in the presence of representatives of 36 Arab universities that participated in the forum from 12 Arab countries.

 The university was represented by Mr Suliman Mohammed Al-Raymi, the director of the student activity centre. 

The forum, held annually in one of the Arab universities, is exchanging training offers during the pandemic and the new travelling restrictions. The discussion was between several Arab universities in Egypt, Sudan, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, the United Arab Emirates, Palestine and Tunisia. 

The forum promotes initiatives to enhance the participating universities' training experience by finding appropriate solutions, training opportunities, and teaching development. Mr Suliman was a committee member ricing the recommendations of the importance of continuing the training program for Arab Students, taking into consideration the travelling restrictions during the pandemic for each country. Expanding the membership, of the Arabic Council for Training Arab Students,

 to the Islamic universities not in Arabic countries by facilitating and simplifying all procedures and controls set by government agencies for the entry and exit of students, obtaining visas and addressing embassies to Arab countries—also, encouraging Arab universities to participate in increasing the number and diversity of training opportunities. The date for the student exchange program for this year has been modified to be next August.
