Abstract | ||
The purpose of the experiment to find out the use of flax seed oil, soybean oil and mix of them (plant sources of omega-3), and its impact on productive performance and eggs quality of broiler breeder eggs. This study was conducted in the field of animal resources dept.- College of Agriculture-University of Salahaddin in Erbil, for the duration 11/01/2013 until 28/02/2014. This study included 180 female of broiler breeder Ross-308 33 week old that fed four production diets added to it: T1 (control) 3% sunflower oil, T2- 3% flaxseed oil, T3- 3% soybean oil and T4- mix of (1.5% flaxseed oil +1.5% soybean oil), diets were contain similar level in energy and protein The results showed significantly increases (p <0.05) in the percentage of egg production (HD%), eggs weight ,egg mass ,feed conversion ratio (FCR), egg shape index, normal eggs for hatching, the percentage of broken eggs and the percentage of intact eggs yolk index, albumin: yolk ratio , Haugh unit, yolk color , egg shell strength and egg shell Thickness in the treatments of Omega-3 added compared with T1. | ||
