| Political Islamic groups, or what some people like to call Islamic Movement in Egypt, were considered of the movements that need a comprehensive study especially when considering political Islam with the Islamic Brotherhood group as the forepart. The Islamic Brotherhood group was one of the oldest Islamic organizations in Egypt and one of the most powerful Islamic movements in the world because it was characterized by linking its political work with Islamic charitable work and was described as the mother of Islamic movements in modern period and the most influential and widespread in the Arab world. This topic raises many scientific and theoretical disputes around it so this study comes as a part of a series that tackled Brotherhood issue in Iraq or other Arabian and foreign countries. It is a fruitful subject for study and research for its great impact on society. Researchers consider Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic movements as one of the influential and active forces in Arab and Islamic societies. So studying and tracing the nature of their relation with the society on one hand and the political systems in Egypt and their position of it on the other is a fruitful topic for study and research. Therefore, the study aims to shed light on this issue and disclose the position of the group of the events and political developments witnessed in Egypt, the progress of their work politically and socially during an important historical period, their relation with Jamal Abdul Nassir and how and why the circumstances of this relation have changed with his death in 1970 and the coming of Muhammad Anwar Assad at as his successor. The researcher has chosen the year 1967 as a starting point for the study because it represents for many researchers and intellectuals the year of national thought declination and the rise of Islamic movement due to many internal and external factors the most important of which is the defeat of June 1967 when the decline of the national project led to the rise of the Islamic trend and other national projects as an alternative to the Arab unity project which greatly affected the reality of Brotherhood and their internal position in Egypt. 1971 represents the year of the rise of the Islamists and their impact on Egyptian society after the great historic reconciliation that took place between them and Egyptian president Muhammad Anwar Assad at. | ||
