Abstract | ||
The crime of smuggling is a serious crime that threatens the economic policy of the country, especially when the smuggling is the natural resources, which are the most important oil and oil derivatives, given the country's dependence on economic development projects, so it is no secret to smuggle this wealth, under conditions such as passing Iraq, from the negative effects leading to economic sabotage aimed at damaging economic policy and the failure of plans to build the economy in the country. In view of the increasing rates of the crime of the smuggling of oil and its derivatives, to the degree that they threaten the security and economy of the country, especially after 2003, the Iraqi legislator felt the seriousness of this crime and the need to address them firmly and hard, so the first step in this area is to fill the legislative vacuum by issuing a special law The crime, which is embodied in the law against the smuggling of oil and its derivatives No. 41 of 2008. | ||
