This research highlights the different approaches used by Sibawayh (180), and Abi Zakaria Al-Fara (207) as well as the differences between these two figures in the grammatical doctrine . Sibawayh explored the functions of expression in people’s talk, and then supported them with examples from the Quran, and finally drew their grammatical rules. On the other hand, Abi Zakaria Al-Fara in his book Maani Al-Quran( the meanings in the Quran ) looked at Quran Sura by Sura, and then considered each Sura and the meanings it contains and finally drawing the grammatical rules. It seems that the differences in the approach lead to the differences in orientation as each one used examples from the Quran because of its authority .We must acknowledge that this does not occur in all the matters that they agree upon when they referred to the holy Quran. The researchers thought , before starting this research, that Al-Fara’s approach in deriving the grammatical rules from the Quran in two directions : 1- One goes in line with Sibawayh. 2- The second is unique to him and his discretion of text. | ||
