Abstract | ||
Methods of Quranic recitation has been a vast area to various levels of language studies because language phenomena vary in terms of inflection (i-rab), conjugations and pronunciation . Quran commentators (mufassir) have paid a considerable attention to recitation and have employed it in the interpretation of verses (Ayat) and in the morphological and syntactic matters. One of these commentators is Sheikh Abu Ali Al-Fadl Ibn Al-Hasan Al-Tabarsi (d. 548 AH), the author of the two commentaries ‘Majma’ al-bayān’ and ‘Jawami al-Jami’ . Al-Tabarsi is distinguished by the inclusion of a lot of recitations, their explanations, and inflection (i-rab). The researcher has studied the selected methods of Quranic recitation in Al-Tabrsi’s commentary ‘Jawami al-Jami’ from a lexical and semantic level to identify the differences among these methods of recitation, and the extent to which these differences play a role in the meanings of the Ayat of Quran. | ||
