| This study addressed the problem of (Women Working in Bricks: a Field Social Study in Maysan Province) because it is one of the most important problems affecting women in all aspects, and require serious efforts to avoid having them working is such jobs. Among the aims of the study is to identify the social, economic and health conditions for women working in bricks, and seek to know the physical conditions (environmental) in these plants and their impact on health and psychology of the workers, and to identify the type of the risk to the lives of women working in bricks, as well as to identify the educational levels of workers in light of the charged wages, and finally find out the degree of integration of the plant environment with the physiological and psychological potential of the women. This is a descriptive and analytical study. A sample of (117) subjects were chosen, the study adopted the sample social survey method, the questionnaire was the main tool in the process of data collection, in addition to the interviews and simple observation. The main results of the study were obtained through analysis of the data: 1. The main reason behind women working in the bricks was poverty (financial destitution) as well as the lack of other jobs instead of working in of these plants. 2. Our study showed that the vast majority of women working in bricks have very low educational level. 3. There are differences between the limited monitoring bodies for brick plants and the bad health condition and diseases that affect the women workers. 4. Our study showed that there are differences between the long hours of work and the increase in their family problems. 5. The results of the study concluded that the women workers have no knowledge of their legal rights with respect to wages, guarantees and bonus. 6. exploitation of workers and the abuse of employers | ||
