Abstract | ||
This research investigates experimentally torsional behavior of reinforced self-compacting concrete beams with variables including plain and reinforced concrete beams, spacing of transverse reinforcement, concrete compressive strength, hollow and solid sections.The experimental work includes investigation of eleven beams tested under pure torsion and divided into three groups. Group (A) denotes the normal strength SCC beams with compressive strength of 32.84MPa. Group (B) covers the high strength SCC beams with compressive strength of 64.65MPa, and finally group (C) is normal strength SCC hollow beams. Test results are discussed based on torque-twist and beam longitudinal elongation behavior. | ||
