The environmental indicators and the composition of fish species of shatt al-arab Abu Al-Khaseeb station was studied for the period from November 2014 to October 2015. Four fishing Means were used, through which 14375 fish were collected, which weighed 496,825kg. These numbers returned to 11 Orders, 22 Family, 36 genus and 41 species. All of them were belonged to Osteichthyes except one species returned to Chondrichthyes. This station included 19 marine species and 22 habitat fresh water species which represented 46.34% and 53.66% respectively. The highest numerical abundance was recorded in April, reached 1892 individual, and the lowest in February reached 572 individual. Diversity index values amount to (2.44) in August and (0.84) in June, while Evenness index values reached (0.84) in November and (0.27) in June. Rich Evidence values amount to (3.55) in May and (1.97) in January, while Dominion index values amount to (0.93) in June and (0.44) in November. Carassius auratus came at first rank in Evidenced relative importance, followed by Acanthopagrus latus and Tilapia zillii respectively. Values of Similarity were different in qualitative composition which reached (63.64%) in December and (37.93%) in April, The temperature had the positive effect on the specific abundance more than of salinity and the other studied factors. | ||
