Abstract | ||
Poetry is a means of expression of the human passions in a way better described as honest and pure and of manifesting the zeitgeist and the time figures. In time the poets who cleave themselves in embracing the Ahlalbayt pay much heed to them; their agony, rigors and what they endure in the line of guiding people. Such a case is not delimited to the Arabic poetry it is pertinent to the Persian poetry as well that is why the current study will tackle the portrait of the imam in both the Arabic and the Persian poetry and be bifurcated into certain isles: 1. Introduction. 2. Contrastive literature. 3. Literature bound to Ahlalbayt. 4. The portrait of the Imam in the Persian and Arabic poetry. What the resrech study holds could be considered as a parameter to trace the mutual lines between the Persian and Arabic poetry as the poets pay much heed to the main traits of the imam Al-Hassan; benevolence, martyrdom, patience, science and the intercession people seek from him. However, these poets employ certain devices such as figures of speech, allusion to the Glorious Quran, alliteration and an elegant language to convey the depth of the human love to such an abode. | ||
