Abstract | ||
Children's literature is one of the most important means of explaining life and its dimensions to child. It gives him the required experiences and skills needed for current and future life. This literature , through its various forms , can disperse in the youth the values and principles that would represent the cultural future pattern and grant cultural identity, develop the social awareness and the spirit of cooperation and foster empathy for others, and satisfy their basic needs: mentally, emotionally , socially , psychologically , spiritually and aesthetic. In spite of the technical development and the different means of knowledge, children's literature would remain capable of performing its traditional role in the development of children's tendency to reading in general and the development of their creative skills. | ||
