Abstract | ||
The study of analogy is of great importance in linguistic studies ,or even it is one of the pillars of language lesson. A reader of Sibawayh›s book can detect various uses employed to express what is known as (analogy), although they are overt in many places.The researcher prefers to investigate the concept of analogy in Sibawayh through the analysis of texts and word synonyms in their context of use in an attempt to understand the intended meaning in the light of the semantic properties. The quest here is to demonstrate the effect of analogy in directing the linguistic research methodology upon which the book is based and to clarify the decline of grammar studies which are based on it. Need and mind take a central place in Sibawayh›s words that produce analogies because need results in different forms of expressions while mind is a means to achieve that. The combination of need and mind in the book is a guide to understand the depth of Arabic linguistic thought in the context of partial synonyms for which the analogy is very useful. The research falls into three parts : 1.analogy between the logic of language and logic of mind, 2.strength of the meaning of analogy , and 3.dynamic standard relations. Then the results of Sibawayh›s analogous discussions are given. | ||
