Abstract | ||
In this research , contemporary state from the standpoint of John Dewey , many of his unprecedented opinions in the field of political philosophy can be observed , that he introduced a semi-complete conception about how contemporary state should be. His ideas are considered as a step towards a developing project to construct the civilizational structure of humanity. On the basis of the researh in its different sides concerning state and its fundamental elements , it can be said that Dewey is the most important philosopher who wrote on contemporary state , for the following facts: 1. Destroying the old theories on state and establishing a new one. 2. Introducing a new vision on the relations that should be between individuals , society and state. 3. Constructing a new conception on the concept of “ the sovereignty of state ” suitable to reality of contemporary life , by emphazing on the necessity of restricting it for protect the individual rights inside the state and also observing the other states. 4. Interesting on democracy , that for him , it is a system and a style of common life , considering that it is the best means invented by human to realize his legal aims , and to mature human personality for establishing good citizenship. And finaly cosidering democracy with accrdance with freedom as the solid basis of contemporary state. | ||
