Abstract | ||
Impulsivity is regarded as one of the familiar behavioral phenomena during childhood, and can be represented in certain behaviors that may continue into later age stages and turn into trait personality of the individual. Impulsivity is defined as the tendency of an individual and his inclination to respond quickly without thinking or deliberation. In this research, however, the impulsive behavior has been deal with from the perspective of trait, where the relationship between impulsive behavior anther variables has been investigated among female sentenced inmates in Iraqi prisons. In order to achieve the research goals, the researchers have prepared a scale for measuring the impulsive behavior through following the scientific methods in this respect. The scale has been administered on a sample consists of (300) of female sentenced inmates in Iraqi prisons. The result show: - The present research community is not characterized by impulsive behavior and there are statistically significant differences according to (age, educational achievement, the kind of the criminal behavior). Where the female sentenced inmates whose age between (20-30) years, female sentenced inmates whose educational achievement is low (primary) and female sentenced inmates who sentenced of criminal behavior of violence and prostitution are characterized by impulsive behavior whereas the other groups of female sentenced inmates are not. Finally, the researchers have put forward a number of recommendation and suggestions. | ||
