Abstract This study was conducted in the field of the Department of Horticulture and Landscape design / College of Agriculture and Forestry / University of Mosul in Nineveh province, and continued search field at the same location for the experience of two years for twenty-seven months, period from early March 2011 until the end of March 2013. Used five mixtures ready from the seeds of the types and varieties of grasses, cold and warm season. In order to obtain green turf grass so that it remains a conservative on the greening of color in different seasons of the year and to study the response of these species and mixtures for two concentration of growth retardant Paclobutrazol 0.02 gr.m2-1 and 0.04 gr.m2-1. and two concen- tration from seaweed extract Nap (Ascophyllum nodosum 24 %) 1 cm3.L -1 and 2 cm3.L-1 and the extent of their influence in the growth of these mixtures. Experiments carried out using a randomized complete block design and system split plot (RCBD Factorial within Split-Plot Designs) and this included experience with the control treatment (25) treatments with three replicates. Superior Both Mixtures (2 , 5) significantly throughout the year for most studied adjectives (the degree of color , the number of cuts , fresh , dry weight of shoot and roots). Despite during the summer period was mixture (1) Adding seaweed extract the concentration of 1cm3.L-1 led to the existence of significant variances with Paclobutrazol and control treatment in depth the roots and the degree of type during the winter, did not differ significantly for the rest of the studied adjectives. We recommend planting mix (5) in the home gardens and golf for flat smooth green, planting mix (2) in football stadiums and public parks to get a rough flat green all year round. | ||
