Abstract | ||
Absrract The main objective of this research was to identify the extension knowledge needs to Pomegranate farmers in the development of the modern agricultural technologies application in Halabja province to identify their extension knowledge needs in the field of (land preparation, planting seedlings, planting date, method of agriculture, irrigation, fertilization, weeds control, change of color phenomenon, date of fruit setting, Storage). The research covered all Pomegranate farmers in Halabja governorate (3270) and took random samples by (5%) which equals (164) farmer. questionnaire form has been prepared to collect data, several statistical methods used, in data analyzing: duplicates, and the arithmetic mean, standard deviation, coefficient of simple Pearson correlation,gettman equation and Spea- rman correlation coefficient (t-test). The results showed that the level of need indicative average to high for Pomegranate farmers in general and certain paragraphs of the scale, in particular, also show the existence of a significant correlation between the extension knowledge needs and the independent factors (the garden area, sources of information, participate in training and agricultural experience), and there were no significant correlation between the extension knowledge needs with (age, educational level) factors | ||
