This study was conducted at poultry field of the Animal Production Department/ College of Agriculture/ University of Baghdad/ Abu Ghraib. Three hundred unsexed broiler chicken Breed of Ross 308 one day old. The aim of this study was to estimate effect of supplementing different levels of boron (0, 15, 30, 45 mg / kg) on some blood parameters mineral concentrations on bone and serum of broiler chicks. The chicks were randomly distributed in to four treatments, The first B0 control(without any addition), The second, third and fourth(B15 , B30 , B45) supplementing with boron in the diet concentrations 15 , 30 and 45 mg / Kg respectively. The results showed that boron in the diet concentration 15 mg / kg led to significant increase in the total count of red blood cells, haematocrit and hemoglobin concentration, significant decrease in the total count of white blood cells and percentage of H/L ratio while, no significant differences were found in mean corpuscular volume, mean corpuscular hemoglobin. Also we found significant increase in the concentrations of serum phosphorus and significant decrease in concentrations of calcium. | ||
