Abstract | ||
The Impact Legal reserve on the Monetary credit volume in Iraq for the period (2004 – 2013). The legal reserve is one of the means of monetary policy used by the central bank of Iraq as a percentage of deposits of commercial banks as a purpose of protecting the deposits from liquidity risk in an addition to control of the important aspect liquidity by increasing the capacity of banks to create money and credit granting for this the research has been studying the impact of the legal reserve on the volume of the credit in Iraq . It has been using the statistical program (SPSS) to estimate the relationship between the legal reserve as an independent variable and the monetary credit as a dependent variable for the above mentioned period . It has come to a set of conclutions، the most important is : " The central bank has reduced the percentage of legal reserve to 15% on all banking deposits led to expantion of monetary credit operation in Iraq " .
