Abstract | ||
The remarkable developments in the field of communication technology and the information revolution have contributed to an important technological shift of international and global character, which has been dominated by active experiences in the field of education techniques and means. Education is the vital and influential sector. That this mutual influence reflected positively on the development of systems and means of education and push them towards more modernity to accommodate the new content of the information revolution, which can not be expected one of the extent and impact, and this research was an attempt to answer what is the importance of modern means of education to keep up with this The important development of the course of information revolution and communication technologies. The research began from the following hypothesis: "Modern eLearning technologies are the main lever for contemporary technological achievements and it is a common mistake to separate them from traditional education, because the latter is the platform on which they are based." The research aims at exposing the fundamental changes that have taken place in the educational methods and the resulting challenges facing the societies in general and the Arab countries in particular. To reach this goal, we tried to discuss the following paragraphs: I. Globalization and its role in the development of modern means of education II. The concept, objectives and importance of e-learning. III. Characteristics and advantages of e-learning. IV. Requirements and constraints of e-learning. V. Types of e-learning.
