Abstract | ||
This research comes to seek the possibility of application of the European Foundation of Excellence Model(EFQM) to evaluate the performance of Al-Nu’man public Hospital, through checklists derived from the award criteria ,in order to collect data about hospital and evaluate it. since the hospitals is one of the most important service organizations that provide health services for the community and link of these services with the lives of citizens. The administration of health organizations now require the capacity beyond the limits of the treatment of patients, since it become centers of education, training and centers for scientific medical research centers .Its duties became balance between the responsibilities of providing medical services to patients and planning for the future, financial control, competitiveness, human resource needs, maintaining quality and continuous development and improvement. So, the European Excellence Model used in evaluation of the hospital, because the requirements of the model fit with the needs and desires of the community, and to keep up with the massive developments taking place in the measurement of performance results.. .From the results achieved, the hospital is good and there is guarantee of quality and the beginning of continuous improvement, since it has scored more than (300) points in the evaluation. One of the main conclusions reached, is the necessity to adopt decentralization in work by the Directorate of Baghdad Health ,to pave the way for hospitals to set its strategic plans that suit the scope of work and the goals that seek to achieve . and .Most countries in the world rely on Excellence Awards, which exceeded the (100) prize in the world and yet we are still lacking for the existence of such awards. | ||
