| Abstract The audience is considered the target of the communicative process and that the main task of the means of communication is to know the real needs of the public and trying to satisfy his desires particularly for being optionally exposed to communicative means that cares about them or find them appropriate to his trends and avoids means that do not fit the trends and the need to get information to satisfy his desire and need of that information. The importance of this research comes from the importance of the security media, which plays an important role in the awareness field and provides advice to the community with respect to the protection of lives , public and private property, and all that would spare the citizen from falling into crime and intimidate of the consequences of committing to the individual and society, the Security Media also confirms its role and importance by helping workers in the security field in the line of duty and raise their morale about what they are doing in order to maintain the safety and stability of society. The research aims to identify the extent of public exposure to the Iraqi radio stations and determine the impact of this exposure to radio stations on their security awareness as well as the diagnosis of the most important issues faced by the public in these stations, the researcher also used the descriptive surveyed Curriculum which allows scanning performance of the means of communication and message communication together, also the research uses the questionnaire as an essential research device for the study of the public on the ground and explore his views on the subject and its reflection in the deployment of their security awareness, by applying the search in the field on a sample of the public in the city of Baghdad. The research reached to number of conclusions which are radio programs increase the awareness of the public to a certain degree and give the public satisfy information in the field of awareness toward a certain risk and this was confirmed by the respondents, and that the public is often busy in work or study or things of life in general so in most often cannot determine the constant time to expose to the radio, as well as the best method in the field of education is the analog method that simulates the daily life of citizens in a comic manner awareness which aims to raise awareness in the community of the danger. | ||
