Abstract | ||
William Shakespeare has influenced every generation of authors since the Elizabethan age until the present time. They were mostly influenced by his creativity, literary style and his ability to formulate his poetic images which mostly represented his environment and his background. Even those critics who rediculed the authors who worshiped Shakespeare did unconsciously admire him because Shakespeare’s encyclopedic talent enabled him to represent the human experience in all senses, putting life into the context of art. This study aims to show how the works of Shkespeare have been influential on Arab poet consciously and unconsciously by means of adaptation, appropriation and intertextuality. It refers to certain names as Ahmed Shawqi, Salah Abdel Sabur and Badr Shakir Alsayyab. | ||
