| The Balkans of vital and strategic regions and that had occupied a large area in the political, security and the European military thinking, especially at the end of the nineteenth century, as the Balkan region enjoys geostrategic vital privileged to make the position to compete with the major powers, it mediates the European continent almost, and adjacent to the Mediterranean mission the lines of international navigation, geographical proximity to some extent from the oil resources in the Middle East, has this site contributed to the activation of the role that could be played by the region in international politics, especially if the region is to cross the President between Western Europe point, and Central Asia, and the Caucasus, as well as Therefore, the approach of the Balkan region from the Turkish straits zone and its extensions to the Greek islands in the Aegean Sea is in itself a vital position to control the entrances and exits of the Russian fleet from the Black Sea region and the Balkans. | ||
