The current research aims to find out the impact of learning within groups in the development of cognitive developmentof second year students in the subject of the Glorious Quran and Islamic education. To achieve the goal of the research, the researcher chose the sample intentionally and the following statistical methods have been used in his research-: 1. .t-test (T-test) for one sample in order to identify the sample as a whole. 2. Statistical Mean and standard mean. 3. Pearson correlation coefficient for the extraction of stability. After selecting the subjectof the Koran and Islamic education topics to be taught to students in the second year, the researcher prepared atypical plan for the topics to be taught in the experiment by collective work learning method, and presented the scale to a group of experts and specialists to see the validity and suitability. At the beginning the researcher conducted the pre-test experiment. At the end of the experiment, which lasted three months the researcher conducted the post-test for the collection of the students in the experimental group. To achieve the validity of the hypothesis, the researcher arrived at following: The presence of statistically significant differences at the level (0.05) between the average scores of achievement in the Glorious Quran and Islamic education for the experimental group .It has been shown through learning in groups the presence of a difference in the post- test than the pre-test, which led to the development of cognitive recognition in the subject of Koran and Islamic education. In the light of the result, the researcher arrived at a number of conclusions, including: 1. Learning in groups contributesin providing students with the ability to understand what they study of facts, knowledge and concepts and their application rather than memorizing them. 2. Students who leamin groups enjoy the spirit of leadership, sentimental balance, social interaction and intellectual cooperation. In light of these findings the researcher recommends the following: 1. The importance of learning in groups lies in guidingteachers of Islamic Education to prepare such methods to be applied. 2.
