Abstract | ||
Turkey occupies an important strategic position, which is a node of convergence between the continents of Europe and Asia, has a border with the Soviet Union, Iran, Iraq, Syria, Bulgaria and Greece, and it was for this site cause of the aspiration of the major powers to contain it or to control it, making it pursues a foreign policy of alliance with the West in general the United States in particular, relations between the two countries have developed and reached an end to the coalition as part of a series of agreements between the two countries as well as within the framework of NATO. However, the dispute began after the Turkish intervention in Cyprus in 1974, the reــــaction of the United States was negative towards Turkey, which had a bad effect on the Turkish people and that showed they are just a tool for the implementation of US policy in the region and that the United States does not maintain any consideration only for their interests. | ||
