Abstract | ||
This research represets astudy for al-maddat book in the holy quran which is written by abi bakr ahmed ibn al-hussein ibn mehran ( died in 381 h) with its text revision . In this book the author mentioned ten types of lengthening . this division was not mentioned by ibn mehran before . but they are narrated by the other linguists later . and they regarded it as one of his writings . this book was small but in spite of that it has a great importance that is represented in the following points: It preceded the other books in dealing with the origins of this book which shows that the Arabic linguists have preceded the phonetic labs in dealing with this science few centuries before. The auther paid more attention to the other readers and their ways in readings especially in the aspects related to attahkeek , attarteel , and alhadr, and the relationship with the lengthening type and its degree .After the introduction has been submitted , this study is divided into two parts , the first part is conducted to the study and the divided into three sub-sections , the first one is conducted to talk about ibn mehran , his name , his biography , his importance , the other scientists , praisal on him , his death , his sheikhs , his students , his publishments .The second sub-section is conducted to talk about the lengthening book including the name of the book and its belonging to ibn mehran in addition to its importance, a description of its copied manuscript and the work done in revision by the researchers . Section three is conducted to talk about the lengthening , stating the advanced writers opinions at this phenomena , its reasons , and the types of lengthening . The second part of this research deals with the revised which is followed by a conclusion and a list of references for some of the important resources and references used . | ||
