Abstract | ||
The study endeavoured to show the aspects of specialties in the analysis and application of the criteria of feasibility studies and evaluation of agricultural projects, with the aim of modifying the planning, analysis, evaluation and development of methods to fit and suit the distinctive features of the agricultural sector and therefore the selection of appropriate standards that help to show results close to reality when preparing feasibility studies and evaluation of agricultural projects. The highlight these specificities and its impact in the agricultural project uses the technology of modern irrigation, taking in to account the challenges and difficulties faced by the sector in Iraq and the statement of the possibility of the project in addressing the challenge of water scarcity in the framework of efforts to achieve food securty and economic independence in the provision of food basket Agricultural Policy Home of citizens and accelerate development of the country.The study covducted on farmer field sprinkler irrigation financed by the Ministry of Agriculture systems financed by the agricultural initiative. The study was conducted on the ground and in cooperation with the farm owner of the system and the specialist team working in the cultivation of Maysan Directorate, which oversees the process deployment and use of these systems, launched the study of a small project at the level of a single system area of 120donum and with the aim of identifying directly on the feasibility of using this system business sense for the investor (the farmer) individually through financial study and indicate the level of profitability achieved and determine the capital and operating costs within technical study and, realistically, direct and keep up styled system operations up and running for the season (2013-2014), and the study concluded that the project commercially viable for the farmer as well as economic sense in terms of public benefit and to achieve the desired its goals, as well as the positive nature of environmental raised the population and the future potential to achieve self-sufficiency in wheat crop, and in addressing the important aspects of the challenges faced by the agricultural sector in Iraq. | ||
