Abstract | ||
Chemical spray pyrolysis method and electrophoretic deposition (EFD) method were used to deposit ZnO films as NH3 gas sensors on glass and stainless steel substrates respectively. ZnOEPD film has high crystallinity and large grain as X-ray diffraction (XRD) patterns and atomic force microscopy (AFM) confirm. The performance of these gas sensors were investigated at 75, 100 and 150 0C temperatures. Sensitivities of ZnOEPD and ZnOSpray to NH3 gas were temperature dependence. The reaction between used gas and the adsorbed oxygen species play essential role in fabricated sensors work. Dissimilar structures of the two ammonia sensors and different surface topography of them produce different responses. The methods of deposition and substrates types have a direct effect on NH3 sensors functioning. | ||
